Access Control via 802.1x and WLAN RADIUS Servers

Access control is an important component in the security concept of any WLAN and must support multiple control levels. The recommended method is to control access at user level. To this end, all business class access points are suitable for access control via 802.1x and RADIUS/EAP server. This also has the advantage that users can log into all systems with a single sign on – not just the WLAN. Furthermore, a direct link can be set up to Active Directories for highly efficient user management.
